And (kai) it caused itself to become (egeneto) [a] malicious (kakon) sore (helkos), and (kai) [an] evil one (ponēron) upon (epi) the (tous) mortals (anthrōpous);

the ones (tous) holding (echontas) the (to) character (charagma) of the (tou) wild animal (thēriou), and (kai) the ones (tous) bowing to4352 (proskunountas) the (tē) icon (eikoni) of it (autou).

16:3 And (kai) the (ho) second one (deuteros) poured out (execheen) the (tēn) bowl (phialēn) of it (autou) into (eis) the (tēn) sea (thalassan).

And (kai) it caused itself to become (egeneto) as (hōs) blood (haima) of [a] dead one (nekrou).

16:6 because (hoti) [the mortals, v2, RE] poured out (exechean) blood (haima) of holy ones (hagiōn), and (kai) of prophets (prophētōn), and (kai) you have given (dedōkas) blood (haima) to them (autois) to drink (piein).

They are (eisin) ones worthy (axioi) [of blood, RE]!

16:7 And (kai) I heard (ēkousa) [the messenger, v5, RE] of the (tōn) altar (thusiastēriou) saying (legontos), “Yes (nai) Lord (kurie), the (ho) God (theos), the one (ho) all powerful (pantokratōr), true (alēthinai) and (kai) righteous (dikaiai) [are] the (hai) judgments (kriseis) of you (sou).”

(For the messenger of the alter see, Luke 1:11-20; Rev. 8:3-5, 14:18-20.)

The Fourth Messenger

16:8 And (kai) the (ho) fourth one (tetartos) poured out (execheen) the (tēn) bowl (phialēn) of it (autou) upon (epi) the (ton) sun (hēlion).

16:9 And (kai) great (mega) heat (kauma) burned (ekaumatisthēsan) the (hoi) mortals (anthrōpoi).

And (kai) they blasphemed (eblasphēmēsan) the (to) name (onoma) of the (tou) God (theou), the one (tou) having (echontos) authority (exousian) over (epi) the (tas) plagues (plēgas) of these (tautas).

And (kai) they absolutely did not repent (ou metenoēsan) to give (doumai) glory (doxan) to him (autō)!

The Fifth Messenger

16:10 And (kai) the (ho) fifth one (pemptos) poured out (execheen) the (tēn) bowl (phialēn) of it (autou) upon (epi) the (ton) throne (thronon) of the (tou) wild animal (thēriou)

And (kai) the (hē) kingdom (basileia) of it (autou) caused itself to become (egeneto) darkened (eskotōmenē)

And (kai) they were being caused to chew (emasōnto) the (tas) tongues (glōssas) of them (autōn) out (ek) of the (tou) distress (ponou).

16:11 And (kai) they blasphemed (eblasphēmēsan) the (ton) God (theou) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou) out (ek) of the (tōn) distresses (ponōn) of them (autōn), and (kai) out (ek) of the (tōn) sores (helkōn) of them (autōn).

And (kai) they absolutely did not repent (ou metenoēsan) out (ek) of the (tōn) works (ergōn) of them (autōn)!

The Sixth Messenger

16:12 And (kai) the (ho) sixth one (hektos) poured out (execheen) the (tēn) bowl (phialēn) of it (autou) upon (epi) the (ton) river (potamon), the (ton) great one (megan), the (ton) Euphrates (Euphratēn), and (kai) the (to) water (hudōr) of it (autou) was dried out (exēranthē);

in order that (hina) the (hē) way (hodos) of the (tōn) kings (basileōn) may be made ready (hetoimasthē), the ones (tōn) from (apo) [the] rising up (anatolēs) of [the] sun (hēliou).

16:13 And (kai) I saw (eidon) three (tria) unclean (akatharta) spirits (pneumata), as (hōs) frogs (batrachoi), [come, AE], out (ek) of the (tou) mouth (stomatos) of the (tou) dragon (drakontos), and (kai) out (ek) of the (tou) mouth (stomatos) of the (tou) wild animal (thēriou), and (kai) out (ek) of the (tou) mouth (stomatos) of the (tou) false prophet (pseudoprophētou);

16:14 because (gar) they are (eisin) spirits (pneumata) of little demons (daimoniōn), doing (poiounta) signs (sēmeia);

which (ha) [little demons, RE] are caused to go out (ekporeuesthai) upon (epi) the (tous) kings (basileis) of the (tēs) whole (holēs) inhabited land (oikoumenēs) to bring them together (sunagagein autous) into (eis) the (ton) war (polemon), the (tēs) [war, RE] of the (tēs) great (megalēs) day (hēmeras) of the (tou) God (theou), of the (tou) all powerful (pantokratoros) [God, RE]!

[A] happy one (makarios) [is] the one (ho) staying awake (grēgorōn) and (kai) watchfully keeping (tērōn) the (ta) outer garments (himatia) of him (autou), in order that (hina) he may not walk around (mē peripatē) [as] [a] naked one (gumnos), and (kai) they may see (blepōsin) the (tēn) indecent behavior (aschēmosunēn) of him (autou).”

16:16 And (kai) it brought them together (sunēgagen autous) into (eis) the (ton) place (topon), the (ton) [place, RE] being called aloud (kaloumenon) Hebraïstically (Hebraïsti), ‘Armageddon’ (Harmagedōn).

(For more about how ones become separated from God, paying close attention to associated contexts, see Mat. 3:11-12, 12:30, 13:24-30, 13:37-43, 13:47-51, 22:1-14, 25:24-46; Luke 3:15-17, 11:23, 16:19-31, 22:31-32; John 11:49-52, 15:1-6; Acts 4:13-21; 2 Cor. 6:16-18; 2 Pet. 2:9; 1 John 4:18; Rev. 16:12-16.)

The Seventh Messenger

16:17 And (kai) the (ho) seventh one (hebdomos) poured out (execheen) the (tēn) bowl (phialēn) of it (autou) over (epi) the (ton) air (aera).

And (kai) [a] great (megalē) voice (phōnē) came out (exēlthen) out (ek) of the (tou) holy place (naou), from (apo) the (tou) throne (thronou), saying (legousa), “It has come to pass (gegonen)!”

16:18 And (kai) star lights (astrapai), and (kai) noises (phōnai), and (kai) thunderings (brontai) caused themselves to come to pass (egenonto).

And (kai) [a] great (megas) earthquake (seismos) caused itself to come to pass (egeneto), such as (hoios) of which (hou) has absolutely not caused itself to come to pass (ouk egeneto) from (aph') [the time, AE] [a] mortal (anthrōpos) caused himself to become (egeneto) upon (epi) the (tēs) land (gēs)!

Thusly (houtō), [it, AE] [was] [a] great (megas) earthquake (seismos) that sized (tēlikoutos)!

16:19 And (kai) the (hē) city (polis), the (hē) great one (megalē), caused itself to become (egeneto) into (eis) three (tria) parts (merē).

And (kai) the (hai) cities (poleis) of the (tōn) ethnics groups (ethnōn) fell (epesan)

And (kai) Babylon (Babulōn) the (hē) great (megalē) was remembered (emnēsthē) in sight (enōpion) of the (tou) God (theou), to give (dounai) to her (autē) the (to) cup (potērion) of the (tou) wine (oinou) of the (tou) passion (thumou) of the (tēs) anger (orgēs) of him (autou).

16:20 And (kai) every (pasa) island (nēsos) fled (ephugen), and (kai) mountains (orē) were absolutely not found (ouch heurethēsan)!

16:21 And (kai) great (megalē) hail (chalaza), as (hōs) [a] talent (talantiaia), comes down (katabainei) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou) upon (epi) the (tous) mortals (anthrōpous).

And (kai) the (hoi) mortals (anthrōpoi) blasphemed (eblasphēmēsan) the (ton) God (theon), out (ek) of the (tēs) plague (plēgēs) of the (tēs) hail (chalazēs);

because (hoti) extremely (sphodra) great (megalē) is (estin) the (hē) plague (plēgē) of her (autēs).
