REVELATION

Chapter 10

10:1 And (kai) I saw (eidon) another (allon) strong (ischuron) messenger (angelon) stepping down (katabainonta) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou), having thrown around itself (peribeblēmenon) a cloud (nephelēn).

And (kai) the (hē) iris (iris) [is] over (epi) the (tēs) head (kephalēs) of it (autou)

and (kai) the (to) face (prosōpon) of it (autou) [is] as (hōs) the (ho) sun (hēlios);

and (kai) the (hoi) feet (podas) of it (autou) [are] as (hōs) pillars (stuloi) of fire (puros);

10:2 and (kai) it is holding (echōn) in (en) the (tē) hand (cheiri) of it (autou) a little papyrus (biblaridion) having been opened up (ēneōgmenon).

And (kai) it put (ethēken) the (ton) foot (poda) of it (autou), the (ton) right one (dexion), upon (epi) the (tēs) sea (thalassēs), but (de) the (ton) left one (euōnumon) upon (epi) the (tēs) land (gēs).

10:3 And (kai) it cried out (ekraxen) a great (megalē) noise (phōnē), so be it as (hōsper) a lion (leōn) causes itself to roar (mukatai).

And (kai) when (hote) it cried out (ekraxen) the (hai) seven (hepta) thunderings (brontai) spoke (elalēsan) the (tas) noises (phōnas) of themselves (heautōn).

10:4 And (kai) when (hote) the (hai) seven (hepta) thunderings (brontai) spoke (elalēsan), I was being about (ēmellon) to write (graphein);

and (kai) I heard (ēkousa) a voice (phōnēn) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou), saying (legousan), “Seal (sphragison) the things (ha) the (hai) seven (hepta) thunderings (brontai) spoke (elalēsan), and (kai), “You may not write ( grapsēs) them (auta).

10:5 And (kai) the (ho) messenger (angelos) which (hon) I saw (eidon), having stood (hestōta) upon (epi) the (tēs) sea (thalassēs) and (kai) upon (epi) the (tēs) land (gēs), he lifted (ēren) the (tēn) hand (cheira) of him (autou), the (tēn) right one (dexian), into (eis) the (ton) heaven (ouranon);

10:6 and (kai) it swore (ōmosen) in (en) the one (tō) living (zōnti) into (eis) the (tous) ages (aiōnas) of the (tōn) ages (aiōnōn), who (hon) created (ektisen) the (ton) heaven (ouranon) and (kai) the things (ta) in (en) it (autō), and (kai) the (tēn) land (gēn) and (kai) the things (ta) in (en) her (autē), and (kai) the (tēn) sea (thalassan) and (kai) the things (ta) in (en) her (autē), that (hoti) time (chronos) shall absolutely no longer yet (ouketi) cause itself to be (estai)!

10:7 BUT (all’), in (en) the (tais) days (hēmerais) of the (tēs) sound (phōnēs) of the (tou) seventh (hebdomou) messenger (angelou), when perhaps (hotan) it may be about (mellē) to trumpet (salpizein), the (to) mystery (mustērion) of the (tou) God (theou) was caused to become complete (etelesthē) also (kai), as (hōs) was evangelized (euēngelisen) to the (tous) slaves (doulous) of Himself (heautou), the (tous) prophets (prophētas).

10:8 And (kai) the (hē) voice (phōnē) which (hēn) I heard (ēkousa) out (ek) of the (tou) heaven (ouranou) was speaking (lalousan) with (met’) me (emou) again (palin), and (kai) saying (legousan), “Get underway (hupage)

Take (labe) the (to) little scroll (biblion), the one (to) having been opened up (ēneōgmenon) in (en) the (tē) hand (cheiri) of the (tou) messenger (angelou), of the one (tou) having stood (hestōtos) upon (epi) the (tēs) sea (thalassēs) and (kai) upon (epi) the (tēs) land (gēs)”.

10:9 And (kai) I went away (apēltha) to (pros) the (ton) messenger (angelon) saying (legōn) to it (autō) to give (dounai) to me (moi) the (to) little papyrus (biblaridion).

And (kai) it says (legei) to me (moi), “Take (labe), and (kai) devour (kataphage) it (auto);

and (kai) it shall make bitter (pikranei) the (tēn) belly (koilian) of you (sou).

BUT (all’), in (en) the (tō) mouth (stomati) of you (sou) it shall cause itself to be (estai) sweet (gluku) as (hōs) honey (meli)!”

10:10 And (kai) I took (elabon) the (to) little papyrus (biblaridion) out (ek) of the (tēs) hand (cheiros) of the (tou) messenger (angelou), and (kai) I devoured (katephagon) it (auto).

And (kai) it was being (ēn) as (hōs) sweet (gluku) honey (meli) in (en) the (tō) mouth (stomati) of me (mou).

And (kai) when perhaps (hotan) I ate (ephagon) it (auto) it made bitter (epikranthē) the (hē) belly (koilia) of me (mou).

10:11 And (kai) it says (legei) to me (moi), “It is required (dei) of you (se) to prophesy (prophēteusai) again (palin), over (epi) peoples (laois), and (kai) ethnic groups (ethnesin), and (kai) tongues (glōssais), and (kai) to many (pollois) kings (basileusin).”
