“I have seen (oida) the (ta) works (erga) of you (sou), that (hoti) you have (echeis) a name (onoma), that (hoti) you live (zēs) and (kai) you are (ei) dead (nekros).

3:2 Cause yourself to become (ginou) aroused (grēgorōn), and (kai) stabilize (stērison) the things (ta) remaining (loipa), which (ha) are being about (emellon) to die away (apothanein);

because (gar) I have absolutely not found (ou heurēka) the (ta) works (erga) of you (sou) having been fulfilled (peplērōmena) in sight (enōpion) of the (tou) God (theou) of me (mou)

(For who is Jesus Christ’s God, see Mat. 27:46; Mark 15:34; John 20:17; Rom. 15:6; Heb. 1:9; 1 Pet. 1:3; Rev. 3:2, 12)

Therefore (oun), if perhaps (ean) you may not be aroused (mē grēgorēsēs) I shall arrive (hēxō) upon (epi) you (se) as (ōs) a thief (kleptēs), and (kai) no (mē), absolutely not (ou) may you know (gnōs) at which (poian) hour (hōran) I shall arrive (hēxō) upon (epi) you (se)!

3:4 BUT (alla), you have (echeis) a little (oliga) [number of] names (onomata) in (en) Sardis (Sardesin) who (ha) absolutely did not soil (ouk emolunan) the (ta) outer garments (himatia) of them (autōn)!

And (kai) they shall walk around (peripatēsousin) with (met’) me (emou) in (en) white (leukois), because (hoti) they are (eisin) ones worthy (axioi) [of it].

3:5 Thusly (houtōs), the one (ho) conquering (nikōn) shall throw around himself (peribaleitai) outer garments (himatiois) in (en) white (leukois).

And (kai) I shall confess (homologēsō) the (to) name (onoma) of him (autou) in sight (enōpion) of the (tou) Father (patros) of me (mou), and (kai) in sight (enōpion) of the (tōn) messengers (aggelōn) of Him (autou).

the one (ho) holding (echōn) the (tēn) key (klein) of David (Dauid);

the one (ho) opening up (anoigōn) [the book] and (kai) absolutely not one (oudeis) shall key [it] closed2808 (kleisei);

3:8 “I have seen (oida) the (ta) works (erga) of you (sou).

Behold (idou), I have given (dedōka) in sight (enōpion) of you (sou) a door (thuran) having been opened up (ēneōgmenēn), which (hēn) absolutely not one (oudeis) can inherently power himself (dunatai) to key her closed2808 (kleisai autēn), because (hoti) you hold (echeis) a micron (mikran) of inherently powered work (dunamin);

and (kai) you watchfully kept (etērēsas) the (ton) Word (logon) of me (mou);

and (kai) you absolutely did not cause yourself to deny (ouk ērnēsō) the (to) name (onoma) of me (mou)!

3:9 Behold (idou), for the ones (tōn) saying (legontōn) themselves (heautous) to be (einai) Judeans (Ioudaious), I may give (didō) [to them] out (ek) of the (tēs) synagogue (sunagōgēs) of the (tou) Satan (Satana)

BUT (alla), they cause themselves to be false ones (pseudontai), and (kai) they are (eisin) absolutely not (ouk) [Judeans]!

3:10 Because (hoti) you watchfully kept (etērēsas) the (ton) Word (logon) of the (tēs) endurance (hupomonēs) of me (mou), I also (kagō) shall watchfully keep (tērēsō) you (se) out (ek) of the (tēs) hour (hōras) of the (tou) testing (peirasmou), of the one (tēs) being about (mellousēs) to be caused to come (erchesthai) upon (epi) the (tēs) whole (holēs) inhabited land (oikoumenēs), to test (peirasai) the ones (tous) homing-down (katoikountas) upon (epi) the (tēs) land (gēs).

3:11 I cause myself to come (erchomai) quickly (tachu)!
