1 Pet. 3:1 (LIT/UBS4) The (hoi) females (gunaikes) likewise (homoiōs), you are being put in submission (hupotassomenai) to the (tois) males (andrasin) of your own (idiois), in order that (hina) if (ei) some (tines) [males, RE] also (kai) are dissuaded (apeithousin) to the (tō) Word (logō), they shall be gained (kerdēthēsontai) through (dia) the (tēs) behavior (anastrophēs) of the (tōn) females (gunaikōn),

1 Pet. 3:2 (LIT/UBS4) they peering upon (epopteusantes) the (tēn) behavior (anastrophēn) of you (humōn) in (en) pure (hagnēn) fear (phobō);

1 Pet. 3:3 (LIT/UBS4) of which (hōn) [behavior, v2, RE], let it be (estō) absolutely not (ouch) the (ho) outward (exōthen) braiding (emplokē) of hairs (trichōn), and (kai) of [a] putting around (peritheseōs) of gold things (chrusiōn), or (ē) of [a] sinking into (enduseōs) [a] cosmos (kosmos) of outer garments (himatiōn)!

1 Pet. 3:4 (LIT/UBS4) BUT (all’), [let the behavior of you be in, v2-3, RE] the (ho) hidden (kruptos) heart (kardias) of the (tēs) mortal (anthrōpos), in (en) the (tō) [behavior, v2, ER] of the (tou) incorruptible (aphthartō), meek (praeōs), and (kai) tranquil (hēsuchiou) Spirit (pneumatos), which (ho) [behavior, v2, ER] is (estin) [a] mostly complete one (poluteles) in sight (enōpion) of the (tou) God (theou).

1 Pet. 3:5 (LIT/UBS4) Because (gar) thusly (houtōs) in time past (pote) the (hai) holy (hagiai) females (gunaikes) also (kai), the ones (hai) hoping (elpizousai) in (eis) God (theon), they were setting in order (ekosmoun) themselves (heautas), being put in submission (hupotassomenai) to the (tois) males (andrasin), to their own (idiois),

1 Pet. 3:6 (LIT/UBS4) as (hōs) Sarah (Sarra) obeyed (hupēkousen) the (tō) Abraham (Abraam), calling him aloud (auton kalousa) lord (kurion);

(See Gen. 18:12)

of whom (hēs) you were caused to become (egenēthēte) ones born (tekna) doing good (agathopoiousai), and (kai) not (mē) being caused to fear (phoboumenai) but not one (mēdemian) terror (ptoēsin).

1 Pet. 3:7 (LIT/UBS4) The (hoi) males (andres), likewise (homoiōs), be ones homesteading together with (sunoikountes) [the females, v1, RE] down according to (kata) knowledge (gnōsin), as (hōs) the (tō) female (gunaikeiō) [being] [a] disabled (asthenesterō) vessel (skeuei);

be ones decreeing (aponemontes) [the females, v1, RE] [to be] of honor (timēn), as (hōs) heirs together (sunklēronomois) also (kai) of [the] grace (charitos) of life (zōēs);

in (eis) the (to) [hope, v5, RE] of the (tas) prayers of well-thankfulness to4335 (proseuchas humōn) [God, AE] not (mē) to be interrupted (enkoptesthai).

1 Pet. 3:8 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) of the (to) completion (telos) [of the males, v7, RE], all (pantes) [are to be] like-thoughted ones (homophrones), sympathetic ones (sumpatheis), ones loving brothers (philadelphoi), well-spleened4698 ones (eusplagchnoi), humble-thoughted ones (tapeinophrones).

(well-spleened - Our equivalent Western idiom is tender-hearted.  See Eph. 4:32 also.  To have good will toward one another, Luke 2:14)

1 Pet. 3:9 (LIT/UBS4) Do not be giving away (apodidontes) [a] malicious thing (kakon) against (anti) [a] malicious thing (kakou), or (ē) verbal abuse (loidorian) against (anti) verbal abuse (loidorias).

But (de) on the contrary (tounantion), be eulogizing (eulogountes), because (hoti) you are called aloud (eklēthēte) into (eis) this (touto), in order that (hina) you may inherit (klēronomēsēte) [an] eulogy (eulogian).

1 Pet. 3:10 (LIT/UBS4) Because (gar) the one (ho) desiring (thelōn) to love (agapan) life (zōēn), and (kai) to see (idein) lovely (agathas) days (hēmeras), let him pause (pausatō) the (tēn) tongue (glossan) from (apo) [a] malicious thing (kakou), and (kai) the (tou) lips (cheilē) to speak (lalēsai) no (mē) deceit (dolon).

1 Pet. 3:11 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) recline out (ekklinatō) away from (apo) [a] malicious thing (kakou), and (kai) do (poiēsatō) good (hagathon)

Search (zētēsatō) for peace (eirēnēn), and (kai) pursue (diōxatō) her (autēn).

1 Pet. 3:12 (LIT/UBS4) Because (hoti) [the] eyes (ophthalmoi) of [the] Lord (kuriou) [are] upon (epi) righteous ones (dikaious), and (kai) [the] ears (ōta) of him (autou) [are] into (eis) [a] prayer of need (deēsin) of them (autōn)

But (de) [the] face (prosōpon) of [the] Lord (kuriou) [is] upon (epi) ones doing (poiountas) malicious things (kaka).

1 Pet. 3:13 (LIT/UBS4) And (kai) who (tis) shall be the one treating you maliciously (ho kakōsōn humas) if perhaps (ean) you may cause yourselves to become (genēsthe) ones zealous (zēlōtai) of good (agathou)?

1 Pet. 3:14 (LIT/UBS4) BUT (all’), if (ei) you may suffer (paschoite) also (kai) through (dia) [the sake, AE] of righteousness (dikaiosunēn) , [be] happy ones (makarioi)

But (de) do not be made fearful (mē phobēthēte), but nor (mēde) be troubled (tarachthēte), of the (ton) fear (phobon) of them (autōn).

1 Pet. 3:15 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) make holy (hagiasate) [the] Lord (kurion) of the (ton) Christ (Christon), in (en) the (tais) hearts (kardiais) of you (humōn);

constantly (aei) ready (hetoimoi) to (pros) make [a] defense (apologian) to each one (panti), to the one (tō) requesting (aitounti) of you (humas) [a] word (logos) about (peri) the (tēs) hope (elpidos) in (en) you (humin).

(In the new testament biblical Greek texts the biblical writers, the witnesses, refer to both the God and to his firstborn son, Christ Jesus, as lords, but as lords having two different levels of authority. Therefore, when a context refers to the God almighty as Lord, he’s not simply a lord among other lords,, but the Lord of all creation. So then in the LIT when the biblical writers make an obvious reference to the God as Lord, I capitalize the word Lord as a proper noun. But when the biblical writers refer to Jesus Christ as a lord, according to those contexts and others, Jesus’ lordship does not extend over his heavenly Father, the God, and so I don't capitalize it when it's a reference to Jesus.  But rather, the God’s Lordship extends over his son Christ Jesus. All of Jesus’ apostles wrote as if they didn’t believe that Jesus was the God almighty, but that Jesus was a son of the God, specifically, God’s firstborn son. And they wrote that the God would have more sons to come, those sons being lords also, but not lords over their heavenly Father, the God. See 1 Cor. 11:3, John 14:28.)

(See "prepare" the way of the Lord, Mat. 3:3, 25:10; Mark 1:3; Luke 1:17, 3:4, 12:47, 1 Pet. 3:15; 2 Tim. 2:21; Rev. 21:20.)

1 Pet. 3:16 (LIT/UBS4) BUT (alla), [make [a] defense, v15, RE] with (meta) meekness (prautētos) and (kai) fear (phobou), having (echontes) [a] good (agathēn) conscience (suneidēsin);

in order that (hina) the ones (hoi) slandering (epēreazontes) the (tēn) good (agathēn) behavior (anastrophēn) of you (humōn) in (en) Christ (Christō), in (en) [the] thing which (hō) you are talked down (katalaleisthe), they may be put down to shame (kataischunthōsin)!

1 Pet. 3:17 (LIT/UBS4) Because (gar) [is] [it, AE] better (kreitton) to suffer (paschein) doing good (agathopoiountas), if (ei) the (to) desire (thelēma) of the (tou) God (theou) might desire (theloi), or (ē) [to suffer, RE] doing maliciousness (kakopoiountas)?

1 Pet. 3:18 (LIT/UBS4) Because (hoti) Christ (Christos) also (kai) once (hapax) suffered (epathen) about (peri) sins (hamartiōn), [a] righteous one (dikaios) over (huper) [the sake, AE] of unrighteous ones (adikōn), in order that (hina) he may lead you to (prosagagē humas) the (tō) God (theō).

Truly (men), [it, AE] [was] flesh (sarki) having put [Christ, RE] to death (thanatōtheis), but (de) [it, AE] [was] Spirit (pneumati) having made [Christ, RE] alive (zōopoiētheis);

(For flesh used as a general reference to mortalkind, see Mat. 10:28, 16:17, 19:5-6, 24:22; 1 Pet. 3:18)

1 Pet. 3:19 (LIT/UBS4) in (en) which (hō) [Spirit, v18, RE], he having been caused to go (poreutheis) to the (tois) spirits (pneumasin) also (kai) in (en) [a] guardroom (phulakē), he preached (ekēruxen),

1 Pet. 3:20 (LIT/UBS4) they having been dissuaded (apeithēsasin) in time past (pote);

when (hote) in (en) [the] days (hēmerais) of Noah (Nōe), [in, RE] the (hē) patience (makrothumia) of the (tou) God (theou), [Noah, RE] was caused to receive out from (apexedecheto) [God, RE] [a] schematic being laid down (kataskeuazomenēs) of [an] ark (kibōtou);

into (eis) which (hēn) [a] few (oligoi), that (tout) is (estin) eight (oktō) souls (psuchai), were brought through whole (diesōthēsan) through (di) [the] water (hudatos)!

1 Pet. 3:21 (LIT/UBS4) And (kai) which (ho) opposite type499 (antitupon) [of water, v20, RE], [Spirit, v18, RE], now (nun) makes you whole (humas sōzei);

[which opposite  type, RE] [is] absolutely not (ou) [a] baptism (baptisma) of flesh (sarkos), [a] putting away (apothesis) of dirt (rhupou), BUT (alla), [[a] baptism, RE] [in Spirit, v18, RE] over [an] inquiry (eperōtēma) of [a] good (agathēs) conscience (suneidēseōs) in (eis) God (theon), through (di’) [the sake, AE] of [the] standing up (anastaseōs) of Jesus (Iēsou) Christ (Christou);

(See Eph. 5:26; Tit. 3:5)

1 Pet. 3:22 (LIT/UBS4) who (hos) is (estin) in (en) to [the] right (dexia) of the (tou) God (theou), he having been caused to go (poreutheis) into (eis) heaven (ouranon);

messengers (angelōn), and (kai) authorities (exousiōn), and (kai) works of inherent power (dunameōn) having been put in submission5293 (hupotagentōn) to him (autō)!
