1 Pet. 1:9 (LIT/UBS4) you are providing for yourselves (komizomenoi) the (to) completion (telos) of the (tēs) belief (pisteōs), [the] wholeness (sōtērian) of [the] souls (psuchōn) of you (humōn);
1 Pet. 1:10 (LIT/UBS4) about (peri) which (hēs) wholeness (sōtērias) the (hoi) prophets (prophētai) sought out (exezētēsan), and (kai) searched out (exēraunēsan), about (peri) the (tēs) grace (charitos) having been prophesied (prophēteusantes) into (eis) you (humas);

1 Pet. 1:14 (LIT/UBS4) As (hōs) ones born (tekna) of attentive hearing (hupakoēs), do not be scheming yourselves together with (mē suschēmatizomenoi) the (tais) previous (proteron) lusts (epithumiais), in (en) the (tē) ignorance (agnoia) of you (humōn).
1 Pet. 1:15 (LIT/UBS4) BUT (alla), down on account (kata) of the (ton) holy one (hagion) having called you aloud (kalesanta humas), you be caused to become (genēthēte) holy ones (hagioi) yourselves (autoi) also (kai), in (en) every (pasē) behavior (anastrophē)!
1 Pet. 1:16 (LIT/UBS4) Through the reason that (dioti) it has been written (gegraptai), that (hoti) “You shall cause yourselves to be (esesthe) holy ones (hagioi), because (hoti) I (egō) am being (eimi) [a] holy one (hagios).”
(See
Lev. 11:44-45, 19:2, 20:7)
1 Pet. 1:17 (LIT/UBS4) And (kai) if (ei) you cause yourselves to call aloud upon (epikaleisthe) [the] Father (patera), the one (ton) judging (krinonta) down according to (kata) the (to) work (ergon) of each (hekastou) without taking at face value (aprosōpolēmptōs), cause yourselves to turn up390 (anastraphēte) in (en) fear (phobō) [in, RE] the (ton) time (chronon) of the (tēs) side-housing3941 (paroikias) of you (humōn);
1 Pet. 1:18 (LIT/UBS4) you having seen (eidotes) that (hoti) you were absolutely not redeemed (ou elutrōthēte) for corruptible things (phthartois), for silver (arguriō), or (ē) for gold (chrusiō), out (ek) of the (tēs) empty (mataias) behavior (anastrophēs) of you (humōn) given alongside of the fathers (patroparadotou) [of you, v17, RE],
1 Pet. 1:19 (LIT/UBS4) BUT (alla), for highly valued (timiō) blood (haimati) of Christ (Christou), [blood, RE] as (hōs) of [an] unblemished (amōmou) and (kai) unstained (aspilou) lamb (amnou)!
1 Pet. 1:20 (LIT/UBS4) Truly (men), [[the] Christ, v19, RE] was being known before (proegnōsmenou), before/since (pro) [a/the] downthrow (katabolēs) of [the] cosmos (kosmou);
(See verses 10-11)
but (de) he having been manifested (phanerōthentos) upon (ep’) [the] last (eschatou) of the (tōn) times (chronōn) through (di’) [the sake, AE] of you (humas);
(For the Word witnessing before see Psalms 2, 16, 22, 30, 69, 78; Prov. 8; Isa. 49:1-6; Isa. 50, 61; Rom. 15:3; 1 Pet. 1:10-11, 20)
(For the Word’s heavenly pre-existence as a spirit-based being see Prov. 8:22-31; Dan. 3:25-28; John 1:1-2, 14, 30, 3:13, 31, 6:33, 38, 41, 50-51, 58-62, 8:23-26, 58, 13:3, 16:27-30, 17:5-8, 24; Rom. 8:29; 1 Cor. 10:4, 9, 15:47; Gal. 4:1-5; Eph. 4:8-10, Phil. 2:6-7; Col. 1:15; Heb. 1:4-6, 3:2; 1 Pet. 1:20; 1 John 1:2; Rev. 3:14)
1 Pet. 1:21 (LIT/UBS4) through (di’) [the sake, AE] of the (tous) believable ones (pistous) of him (autou) [believing, v8-9, RE] into (eis) God (theon), the (ton) [God, RE] having awakened (egeiranta) him (auton) out (ek) of dead ones (nekrōn), and (kai) having given (donta) glory (doxan) to him (autō)!
And so (hōste) [is] the (tēn) belief (pistin) of you (humōn), and (kai) hope (elpida) to be (einai) into (eis) God (theon);
1 Pet. 1:22 (LIT/UBS4) the (tas) souls (psuchas) of you (humōn) having been pardoned (hēgnikotes) in (en) to the (tē) attentive hearing (hupakoē) of the (tēs) Truth (alētheias);
into (eis) brotherly love (philadelphian) without acting (anupokriton);
[into, RE] love (agapēsate) of one another (allēlous) stretched outwardly (ektenōs), out (ek) of [a] cleansed (katharas) heart (kardias).
1 Pet. 1:23 (LIT/UBS4) You having been generated above (anagegennēmenoi), absolutely not (ouk) out (ek) of [a] corruptible (phthartēs) spore (sporas), BUT (alla), [out, RE] of [an] incorruptible (aphthartou) [spore, RE], through (dia) [a/the] living (zōntos) and (kai) remaining (menontos) Word (logou) of God (theou);
(For ones being born of the seed of the God, God’s Spirit, see Gal. 5:5; 1 John 3:9; 1 Pet. 1:23)
(For what the God planned before ages of times, and promised to the Word before it became flesh, that God would not allow his body, after it became flesh, to remain in the grave to decay into a thorough disintegration, see Psalm 16:8-11, 30:1-12, 69:1-36; Isa. 53; Acts 2:25-28, 13:32-37; Rom. 2:7-9, 16:25-27; 1 Cor. 15:42-49; Eph. 1:3-14, 6:24; 2 Tim. 1:8-12; 1 Pet. 1:17-23.)
1 Pet. 1:24 (LIT/UBS4) through the reason that (dioti) every (pasa) flesh (sarx) [is] as (hōs) fodder (chortos), and (kai) every (pasa) glory (doxa) of it (autēs) [is] as (hōs) [a] flower (anthos) of pasturage (chortou)!
The (ho) fodder (chortos) was dried out (exēranthē), and (kai) the (to) flower (anthos) fell out (exepesen)!
1 Pet. 1:25 (LIT/UBS4) But (de) the (to) statement (rhēma) of [the] lord (kuriou) remains (menei) into (eis) the (ton) age (aiōna).
But (de) this (touto) is (estin) the (to) statement (rhēma), the one (to) having been evangelized (euangelisthen).
